As the VP Manufacturing Operations Sweden & Managing Director, you will be accountable for overseeing all aspects of Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical Operations, Program Management, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Facility Management for the IVD factory in Solna, Sweden. Reporting directly to the VP Global Manufacturing Operations, the VP Manufacturing Operations Sweden & Managing Director leads a team of around 500 employees, comprising engineers, technicians, and administrative staff. This includes managing 8 direct reports and an additional 10 employees within a matrix organization.
Beyond these operational responsibilities, the VP Manufacturing Operations Sweden & Managing Director also act as the legal representative for Cepheid Sweden and serves as a board member of the entity. This includes ensuring compliance with all local regulatory and corporate governance requirements, providing oversight at the board level while aligning site objectives with broader corporate strategy.

Position Summary:
The Consumables Manufacturing Engineer is the primary technical owner for resolving consumable material escalations from production. As the Engineering Subject Matter Expert, the role provides critical support to Manufacturing, Service Technicians, and Production Planning teams, ensuring timely and effective resolution of material-related issues. This includes leading failure investigations and collaborating closely with Supplier Quality & Development, U.S.-based teams, and suppliers.
In addition to escalation management, the engineer supports the qualification of multiple consumable mold tools for assembly lines. These efforts aim to increase material capacity and enhance manufacturing flexibility. Key tasks include designing engineering studies, overseeing the execution of qualification tests, contributing to mold tooling validation, and authoring protocols and reports.
This position is part of the Engineering Department and will be located in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Act as the technical lead for consumable material escalations from production, including root cause investigations, non-conformance (NC) handling, and resolution ownership.
Serve as the Engineering expert for Manufacturing, Service Technicians, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, collaborating with Solna & US-based teams and suppliers to resolve material issues.
Design engineering testing studies and coordinate lab testing and qualification activities for consumables components.

Education or Experience:

We are hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Validation team in Solna. As a QA Engineer in the Validation team your main responsibility is to contribute to qualification of equipment, validation of processes as well as process improvements. We are hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Validation team in Solna. As a QA Engineer in the Validation team your main responsibility is to contribute to qualification of equipment, validation of processes as well as process improvements. Sr. Architect - SAP BASIS oversees Cepheid's global SAP landscape, ensuring its design, implementation, and overall health. This leadership role involves providing guidance to an extended technical team, both on-site and offshore. The Automation Development engineering department is responsible for development of existing Automation systems, and implementation of new Automation systems as well as BI solutions.
The team is expected to provide input to drive innovation and develop systems, equipment, etc, to improve manufacturing in mechanical-, control systems-, data collection and analytic tools areas.
The team is responsible of the whole development process from idea to first validated installation i.e., concept generation, engineering studies, design testing, prototype fabrication and first installation.
In the BI field, solutions to increase robustness and reliability are focus areas. The team is also responsible for analyzing and supporting manufacturing data collection systems.
The Automation Engineer will work with installation and continuous improvements to new and existing automation systems, assists manufacturing operations in problem solving with regards to the automation systems. Assists in the validation of process and facility automation.
This person will be the technical partner to the Operations teams throughout the life cycle of new and existing GX assay products. Daily interaction and engagement with R&D, Service Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functions within Cepheid is expected of this Engineer.
Actively participate in the installation and optimization of new and existing manufacturing equipment to ensure launch of new products and to meet future production demands.

The Biosafety Officer (BSO) is a key position with responsibility in overseeing the safe use of biohazardous material in accordance with all applicable regulations. Cepheid has experienced a rapid growth and diversification in the number and type of product offerings and as such the new projects require the use of a broader range of microorganisms, as well as additional types of specimens.

The BSO ensures adequate biosafety training and practices to avoid potential hazards associated with the handling of biohazardous materials, the spread of pathogens, threats of emerging pathogens, and control of amplifiable nucleic acids. The BSO develops training materials and monitors adherence to laboratory biosafety programs and assists other safety professionals and scientists with risk assessments and risk mitigation plans.


The BSO works with key partners to improve communication, emergency management and response practices. BSO is also expected to contribute to other parts of EHS, including but not limited to, ergonomics, noise, machine safety, chemical safety etc. The work includes risk assessments, incident handling, safety inspections, training events etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Global Bio Safety Officer, R & D, Medical and Scientific Affairs personnel, occupational health experts and other partners to maintain an effective biosafety program
Provides Biosafety expertise in support of design, commissioning, maintenance and annual verification of BSL3, or other research facilities.
Develops emergency plans for handing accidental spills/ personnel contamination in collaboration with area managers
Reviews of all applications to ensure they comply with Swedish legislations and internal policies
Represents EHS in new projects and monitor safe handling of biohazardous materials needed for those projects
Conducts or oversees periodic inspections of laboratories. Works with area managers to address findings and opportunities for improvement
Conducts/works with managers & staff with accident/ incident/complaint investigations including post-exposure evaluations, & recommends corrective actions and follow-up, as necessary
Designs work practices and procedures to minimize exposure to hazards and to adhere to regulatory requirements
Provides guidance on decontamination and works with other safety professionals to maintain a laboratory waste management plan that adheres local regulations.
Develops training materials and monitor adherence to laboratory biosafety programs and assists with risk assessments and risk mitigation plans
Manages and implements all occupational health and management systems associated with biosafety and in accordance with governmental and company requirements
Promotes and supports the biosafety needs of the Cepheid organization in Sweden
Takes an active part in development of policies and procedures to ensure the safety of laboratory staff, and the provision of a safe physical environment to meet biosafety and broader safety requirements
Creates and adjusts methodologies and policies to meet Cepheid’s rapidly changing scientific and regulatory environment
Interprets and applies relevant laws, regulations, codes, and standards, to make recommendations for work environment changes based on interpretations and principles of professional practices
Works with other groups to ensure that associates granted access to Cepheid laboratories are adequately trained and compliant with existing regulations and policies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s, Master´s or Doctoral degree in the field of microbiology, biology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related health sciences field and a few years experiences in the same fields



Knowledge and skills:
Swedish and English languages, fluently
Knowledge of clinical and/ or public health microbiology and general laboratory practices
Understanding and experience with safe methods for manipulating, studying, propagating, and containing infectious microorganisms.

The Manufacturing Training Coordinator supports the Manufacturing Department with Compliance assurance, improvement of training methods, onboarding processes and eMLS Compliance Wire system. The Manufacturing Training Coordinator works close to the Compliance Wire admin team and Manufacturing Management to create training videos and other training material, documents, methods and routines for the Manufacturing department. Furthermore, the Manufacturing Training Coordinator works to continuously improve routines and the work environment in accordance with DBS by using DBS tools like 5S, PSP, DM etc. The Manufacturing Training Coordinator represents the Manufacturing department in meetings and projects together with other departments within the company. SUMMARY POSITION:
The Software Quality Specialist’s primary responsibilities are software validation and representing Software Quality in software development projects. The Logistics coordinator supports the Staging Manager in the daily work and assists with administrative tasks. The coordinator works close to the shift supervisors, prepares and holds trainings for associates, supports in onboarding of new hires, works in projects and supports the management with new routines and implementing procedures. The Logistics coordinator works to continuously improve routines and the work environment in accordance with DBS by using DBS tools like 5S, PSP, DM etc. The coordinator represents the Logistics (staging) department in meetings and projects together with other departments within the company. As Senior Freeze-drying Specialist, you will be responsible to drive optimization projects, scale-ups, writing changes and improvements. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regulatory Affairs Support Coordinator assists the Regulatory Affairs team with EU and international submissions and coordinates the activities that are essential for an efficient functioning of the department.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates and catalyzes the legalization of documents to support international registration activities
Implements documentation, file updates and archiving
Provides informal guidance and support to more junior team members
Supports onboarding and integration of new team members
Updates the team’s VDM chart (virtual) at least weekly or real-time

Change Order Analyst
Cepheid is seeking a Change Order Analyst to join our team in supporting Engineering and Operations to ensure the integrity of our systems data and change management best practices. This role will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on part attributes, bill of materials, and documentation best practices through our PLM and ERP systems. The position will be responsible for a broad range of product lifecycle management activities from NPI to obsolescence, material changes and classifications, and inventory dispositions.
Responsibilities
Manage Change Control Board (CCB) review with essential stakeholders. Analyze change orders for comprehensive system/business impacts, material dispositions, and optimal execution strategy to mitigate costs and business risk.
Work with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Service teams to support accurate documentation and product structures as part of product development, continuous improvement, and sustaining processes.
Ensure change orders are audited for conformity to standard operating procedures and within the system rules of PLM and ERP. Advice on best practices for documenting changes on new and existing products.
Ensure data integrity between systems throughout the change cycle. Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase review accuracy and service levels.
Assist in the communication of operation requirements to facilitate material planning, order fulfillment, and on-time customer delivery.



Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in Document Control, Change Management, or Configuration Management.
Hands-on experience with PLM/ERP systems, product release cycles, and parts/BOM structures.
Able to manage tasks with multiple global teams over multiple time zones.



Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Agile, Oracle Cloud, and SAP.
Logical problem solver. Able to see the ‘big picture’ and present all relevant impacts of a change.
Must present a service-oriented attitude to all levels of personnel. Must be assertive, yet diplomatic.
Experience working in manufacturing and/or highly regulated environments.

The Director, Global Assay Innovations, based in our Solna, Sweden R&D location, will lead independent technical teams in support of Innovation Core & Research projects primarily focused on real-time PCR and RT-PCR assay innovation & research in an FDA-QSR and ISO 13485 compliant organization. Projects will include prototype assay, consumable, and instrument components/systems for early-stage in vitro diagnostic R&D activities across multiple global Cepheid R&D sites. The ideal candidate will have expertise in molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or a related biological/biomedical background including aspects such as molecular assay design, sample preparation, and chemistry. The candidate should be extremely proactive with a curious attitude and able to thrive in the face of ambiguity; an innate systems-level thought process for coordinating a large number of technically varying initiatives is key.
As a Director, it is expected that you work hands-on from time-to-time as well as providing technical and project guidance in the role of technical lead for innovation projects. The incumbent of this role will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute project tasks consistent with project timelines and deliverables. The Director position requires the ability to lead more complex projects in terms of technical difficulty, and the need to combine input from multiple functions (core chemistry, systems, and software) to resolve technical issues. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee technical innovation teams to develop core technologies to support new products or technologies towards new IVD test within CE-IVD, FDA 510(k) or PMA, and other regulatory agency requirements.
Conceive, design, and optimize real time PCR and RT-PCR assays, including sample preparation, based on early-stage requirements.
Serve as project technical lead and innovation representative on a multi-functional project core teams through all early phases of projects; product and project definition, research to develop assays to the prototype stage, and early-stage verification and validation studies internally and externally.
Ensure that laboratory staff follows quality, documentation, laboratory, and safety requirements.
Ensure that project teams meet QSR Design Control requirements as needed, as well as other international standards, such as ISO compliance and GLP/GMP requirements.
Directly manage teams across multiple R&D sites, including hiring, training, performance management and development.
Contribute technical data and advise in formulation of departmental plans, strategies and budgets to ensure resourcing consistent with business decisions.
Adapt and implement policies, plans, procedures and schedules.
Interact with other Cepheid R&D teams and/or external collaborators to solve cross-functional problems and leverage knowledge and capabilities.
Perform lab and office administrative tasks, including lab organization, equipment and materials acquisition/purchase, and experimental reports/presentations.
