We are now looking for an experienced and driven Head of Project Advisors and Client Success to lead and develop our global Project Advisor and Client Success functions within the Commercial organization.
Position: Head of Project Advisors and Client Success
About the role:
As Head of Project Advisors and Client Success, you will play a key role in enabling Pelago Bioscience’s commercial success by combining scientific expertise, leadership, and customer focus. You will lead a team of global Project Advisors spread across multiple time zones and ensure high-quality, scientific support throughout the customer journey, while contributing strategically to sales growth, market development, and long-term customer relationships.
The role combines people leadership, operational responsibility, and hands-on involvement in customer interactions when needed as a player-coach of this team.
Key Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Lead, manage, and develop the Project Advisor team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance follow-up, and annual salary reviews
· Set department and individual objectives aligned with Pelago’s commercial and strategic goals
· Support the Commercial organization in achieving and exceeding sales targets by providing proactive scientific and technical support in customer interactions
· Act as a customer advocate throughout the customer journey, ensuring a strong scientific and commercial experience
· Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers, partners, and license holders to understand their business needs and support sustainable revenue growth
· Communicate Pelago’s value proposition through scientific discussions, proposals, and presentations
· Provide internal expertise, guidance, and training related to drug discovery and Pelago’s offerings
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making
· Support conference participation and development of marketing materials
· Lead and continuously improve operational processes within the Project Advisor function
· Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively within the team and across departments
· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure strong cross-functional alignment
· Contribute actively to daily operations when required

Qualifications and experience:
Education
· PhD or MSc in a relevant life science discipline such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Chemistry, or similar
Experience
· At least 5 years of experience within the life science industry in a customer-facing role
· Experience from different roles along the drug discovery value chain (e.g. project management, portfolio ownership, scientific consultancy)
· Experience working with CROs, CMOs, or CDMOs
· Proven experience in stakeholder management and complex, solution-based sales environments
· Prior leadership or global team management experience is strongly preferred

Position: Senior Scientist– permanent position with 6 months probation
About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist to lead and deliver complex proteomics projects, with a focus on TPP/PISA platforms. You will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff in a dynamic and quality-driven environment as well as being a key contributor to internal innovation. Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead TPP/PISA projects from experimental design through to final reporting, ensuring scientific excellence and on-time delivery
Design, plan, perform, troubleshoot analyze and report on experiments independently
Supervise junior scientists, provide training and quality assurance of project works
Serve as a scientific point of contact for clients and internally, advising on project design, feasibility and interpretation of results in the context of the client’s problem
Contribute to the development of new or improved service offerings and methodologies
Contribute to refining internal processes, protocols and documentation to ensure high-quality and efficient workflows
Comply with safety regulations, laboratory protocols and documenting procedures.



Your Background
You have:
PhD or MSc in proteomics, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
5+ years of relevant industry/research experience ideally in a CRO, biotech or pharmaceutical setting
Extensive hands-on experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomics (TPP/PISA is an advantage)[JL1] [JL2]
Demonstrated ability to lead scientific projects independently and manage several simultaneous projects as well as multiple stake-holders
Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with bioinformatics tools used in proteomics
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and scientific rigor



Desirable skills:
· Familiar with label-free quantification (e.g. DIA) & chemical labelling (e.g. TMT) and statistical analysis of proteomics data
· In-depth experience from a relevant sub-discipline, e.g. TPP/PISA, chemoproteomics, data analysis or other
· Experience from client-facing roles in a commercial or service-oriented environment

Pelago Bioscience is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior Data Scientist within our R&D department. This role is ideal for you who thrives at the intersection of science, data, and business impact.
In this role you will advance the expansion of our data science function by driving innovation to connect biology and data in ways that support strategic decision-making and customer value.
You will be leveraging your knowledge within bioinformatics to identify and generate insights and relationships from proteomics based CETSA experiments with other methodologies. You will also develop and evaluate machine learning (ML) algorithms, perform statistical analysis to resolve data set problems, and keep ahead of the latest developments in data utilization methods.
You will work closely with stakeholders across different functions within the business including lab experimentalists and data focused colleagues with an ambition to inform and contribute future strategies in both the experimental and data science themes at Pelago Bioscience. More specifically, this role will provide computational analysis and solutions to enable and improve the output from our technical platforms with a biology-centric focus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the research teams to develop CETSA methodologies and new products.
Analyse, integrate and visualize CETSA data generated internally and with external collaborators.
Develop and implement algorithms and statistical models to analyse and integrate large-scale data sets.
Apply machine learning techniques to complex data.
Interpret and present results to cross-functional teams, including biologists, drug discovery scientists, and computational scientists.
Lead the development of novel data analysis pipelines and tools to streamline the data analysis process and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into the research.
Working closely with our other new role of Data engineer to establish fit for purpose data management and applications for internal and external use.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in analysing proteomics, other omics or imaging data.
Strong and documented proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries and framework.
Industry experience with understanding of data’s role in product or service delivery is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing novel applications that prosecute a wide variety of datasets for both internal and external use.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:
You will be part of the Lab Support unit within the Lab Operations department where our main responsibility is the delivery of high-quality project work for our customers.
You will be working closely with and supporting colleagues across all functions and will be an integral member of the Lab Operations team. Your primary focus will encompass the operation, maintenance, data collection, sample preparation, performance evaluation, and meticulous documentation within our mass spectrometry (MS) facility.
Your key responsibilities include:
Help with sample preparation, data collection, processing, and transfer.
Schedule and run HPLC & LC/MS analyses.
Day-to-day facility upkeep, including routine maintenance and performance evaluation of facility instruments, preparation of buffers and reagent aliquots, and facility-related ordering and inventory.
Schedule and facilitate equipment service visits.
Contribute to development, review, and enhancement of current standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Comply with safety regulations, laboratory protocols and documenting procedures.
Provide support and training to facility users.



Requirements:

Preferably hands-on experience with HPLC and MS instrumentation, for instance from a core facility or routine analysis setting.
