Vill du göra ditt exjobb inom något av AFRYs områden inom flyg, rymd och flygunderhåll?
AFRY hjälper rymdaktörer att utveckla optimerade och hållbara system och tjänster, baserat på avancerad rymdteknik, robust och flexibel infrastruktur samt intelligenta, digitala lösningar. Våra kompetenser och erfarenheter inom rymdområdet kan användas för såväl kommersiell och samhällsviktig verksamhet, som för att stärka Sveriges säkerhets- och försvarsförmåga.
Vi söker dig som planerar att genomföra ditt examensarbete under våren 2023 och som studerar civilingenjörsprogram inom Farkostteknik, Teknisk Fysik, Elektroteknik, Datateknik eller motsvarande.
Tänkbara ämnen eller projekt:
Vårt föreslagna examensarbete har titeln ” AI-stödd satellitbaserad sensordatafusion för realtidskritiskt taktiskt informationsstöd”. Studien går ut på att titta på möjligheter med sensorfusion kombinerat med AI och databearbetning ombord på småsatelliter för att kunna detektera och klassificera objekt och aktiviteter, reducera databehovet i kommunikationslänken och öka störskyddet.
Examensarbetet kommer att innehålla en avvägd blandning av inläsning, teori, analys, modellering & simuleringar samt att testa konceptet med riktiga sensor- och satellitdata i ett par utvalda scenarier. Möjligheter och begränsningar med småsatelliter, enskilt och i konstellation önskas belysas.
Vi ser helst att detta examensarbete genomförs av två studenter, där en lämplig uppdelning i arbetsområden bestäms i samråd utifrån utbildningsinriktning och intresse. Men examensarbete utfört av en student kan också diskuteras.
Till stöd kommer det att finnas ett team av olika experter, med en utpekad officiell handledare.

Tidplan
Uppstart i slutet av januari 2023 och genomförande under våren (motsvarande 30 hp). Exjobbet utförs på vårt kontor i Uppsala och/eller Solna.


Kravspecifikation
Du är i slutskedet av din utbildning som ingenjör inriktning Farkostteknik, Teknisk Fysik, Elektroteknik, Datateknik eller motsvarande och har intresse av att lära känna ett stort internationellt teknik- och designföretag.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Head of Geospatial Services you will have a key role within SSC New Ventures leading the established GlobalTrust Ltd company in the UK, together with creating a GlobalTrust presence in Sweden (initially from within SSC and transferring to a Swedish GlobalTrust legal entity in the future). One of our key missions is to drive sustainability innovation around satellite data, and we're actively looking for a knowledgeable, connected and pro-active CEO to create and operate the GlobalTrust companies in a professional manner, but also to drive the businesses forward in way that continually considers the need to embed the organization in new markets.

 

Main Tasks

As Head of Geospatial Services, you will have day-to-day responsibility for the whole GlobalTrust Ltd business and its success in both Sweden and the UK. Your duties and responsibilities shall be those normally associated with the function and position of CEO. Key activities and responsibilities include (but are not limited too):


• The management of the operations of a company as well as setting its overall vision including Pivotal decision making affecting the future of a company and its employees
• Overseeing all operations including product development, logistics and marketing
• Developing and approving strategies for the company as well as communicating these strategies to an internal and external audiences.
• Regular report to the Board and various other SSC key individuals
• Acting as director of the GlobalTrust company(s) and carry out duties on behalf of any Associated Company and, if so required by the Board, act as an officer or consultant of any such Associated Company
• The management of the company’s overall budget and its split between departments and strategic activities
• Overseeing the employment of staff and ensure the right shape to the company
• Drive the profitability of the business

BONUS POINTS

• Experience of data science and/or management - Software and Machine Learning applications
• Understanding of the various parts of the Swedish public sector (including Swedish participation in relevant international initiatives e.g. ESA, international development banks etc), how they interact and how funding flows through the system
• Existing contacts into corporate and governmental entities which could be deemed as existing of future clients of GlobalTrust
