We are now looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer who can help scale this work. The role involves both strengthening the platform’s foundations and participating in early pilots — in close collaboration with development and analytics teams to deliver secure, reliable, and reusable data products.


In this role, you will work with...


Data ingestion and modeling: building pipelines, applying anonymization, and creating reusable datasets in Databricks


Platform foundation development: designing and implementing secure workspace structures, Unity Catalog strategies, access controls, and orchestration patterns in Azure environment


Creating golden paths: defining standard patterns and tools for publishing, versioning, and consuming datasets — including SDKs, documentation, and templates


Operationalizing compliance: building in privacy and governance features (e.g., GDPR, RtBF, data classification, anonymization frameworks)


Cross-functional collaboration: working closely with platform, infrastructure, engineering, and analytics teams to make the platform usable, secure, and value-creating from day one


You fit the role if you…


Have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a software or data engineer, preferably with a focus on platform/infrastructure


Have deep experience with Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, workspace setup, and data engineering


Are familiar with Azure, especially in secure network design, identity (RBAC), storage, and VNet setup


Has worked with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools


Understands data governance and privacy requirements, and has implemented solutions for anonymization, pseudonymization, or access control


Has experience orchestrating pipelines and jobs in a Databricks environment


Is comfortable with Python, , CLI tools, and Git-based workflows


Is pragmatic and likes to deliver iteratively, with a balance between structure and speed


Enjoys collaboration, documentation, and helping others succeed


Extra plus if you…


Have built or integrated dataset catalogs, metadata tracking tools or Backstage plugins


Have knowledge of data mesh, internal platform design or developer experience


Have experience with Power BI, data modeling for analysis and end-user data needs
