Atrogi AB is a small, Swedish Biotech company established in 2013. We are developing novel treatments for different metabolic disorders.

Your responsibilities
· Primarily conduct in vivo experiments which includes
rodent handling
blood sampling
administration via i.p, i.v, s.c and oral gavage
performing appropriate pharmacodynamic experiments

· Assist and perform various laboratory experiments such as
Tissue embedding, cutting, and staining
qPCR and Western blot

· Maintain laboratory equipment & perform general monitoring.
· Interact and collaborate with different project leaders at the company
· Record data and analyze results with accuracy and responsibility


Your profile
· Relevant education in biological sciences
· Required to have experience in experimental procedures in rodents, including holding a FELASA certificate
· Meritorious to have experience from surgical procedures in rodents
· Highly motivated to keep updated about animal welfare legislation
· Experience with laboratory experimental procedures is a requirement.
· It’s meritorious to have experience from histology, qPCR and/or western blot.
· Good team working skills and ability to work autonomously
· Ability to work in a calm and methodically way at time constraint
· Experience from biotechnology /drug development industry is meritorious
· Communication skills in English.

Dina ansvarsområden
· Utföra in vivo experiment som inkluderar hantering av gnagare, blodprovstagning, administrering via i.p, i.v, s.c och oral sondmatning samt utföra lämpliga farmakodynamiska tester
· Assistera och utföra olika laboratorieexperiment
· Registrera data och resultat med noggrannhet och ansvar

Din profil
· Relevant utbildning inom biologisk vetenskap och FELASA-certifikat
· Det är ett krav att ha erfarenhet av experimentella procedurer på gnagare
· Erfarenhet av laboratoriearbete
· Det är meriterande att ha erfarenhet från histologi, qPCR och/eller western blot.
· God samarbetsförmåga och förmåga att arbeta självständigt
· Erfarenhet från bioteknik/läkemedelsutvecklingsbranschen är meriterande

Your responsibilities
Align methodologies with research goals, and design experiments in collaboration with the project team. Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments, record findings and analyze and interpret data and patterns.
Ensure that project timelines, deliverables and budget are defined and monitor progress against objectives. Interpret research specifications and develop a work plan that satisfies requirements.
Interact and collaborate within different departments at the company and with external partners and provide input into project direction. Anticipate research issues and promptly resolve them.
Draft appropriate reports and presentations which are required by the project. Maintain and protect electronic databases.


Your profile
· Ph.D. in relevant biological or medical sciences, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience from pharmaceutical company or postdoctoral position.
· Experience from research in Type 2 diabetes. Special emphasis will be placed on scientific skills and area of expertise
· Vast experience of relevant research from both in vitro and in-vivo experimental procedures
· Experience of project and team leading
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
